On Saturday, November 23, 2019, YOLO JAPAN Co. Ltd. (Representative Director: Taisuke Kaji, Tokyo Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) hosted "SUNTORY presents YOLO JAPAN FESTIVAL 2019", a multinational communication event to celebrate Labor Thanksgiving Day with working foreigners at the inbound work training facility "YOLO BASE" located in Shin-Imamiya, Osaka. Working foreigners of various nationalities came to the venue, and through food and music they were able to unwind and find relief from their daily work routine. They were also able to meet new people and create new energy.

Our musical guests included the talented female singer, Harukaumi who boasts a 4-octave vocal range! With her fantastic singing ability, her live performance filled the venue with excitement. DJs such as DJ Dmitiri Absinthe and NINJA DJ & KUNOICHI DANCERS further contributed to the atmosphere of the venue.

Our "Traveling Kitchen" served snacks from around the world that can be enjoyed with alcoholic beverages. We served 21 dishes from 20 different countries, such as Thailand's "Som Tam," a salad made with green papaya, or "Sate Ayam," an Indonesian-style yakitori. Also, in a space on the 2nd floor, we held a tuna carving event! 200 servings of roast beef and pork soup were served to visitors free of charge. Additionally, visitors were able to enjoy meals with drinks from Suntory's The Premium Malts and ROKU.

To visitors we distributed gifts such as rice in a package designed by the illustrator "Kazuha Rinnu" and artist "RIE". Other gifts included The Premium Malts.

At the SUNTORY presents YOLO JAPAN FESTIVAL 2019, awards were given to foreigners who excelled in their respective categories such as the "YOLO KAWAII AWARD" which is awarded to the most beautiful contestant, the "YOLO MUSIC KARAOKE AWARD" which is awarded to the foreigner determined to be the best karaoke singer of Japanese songs, the "YOLO BEST WORKER AWARD" which recognizes foreigners who work and play an active role in Japan, and the "YOLO COMPANY AWARD" which is given to recognize companies that contribute to the recruiting and utilization of foreigners!

From our "Traveling Kitchen," out of the 21 dishes from 20 countries, Ireland's "Shepherd's Pie" won the grand prize. The dish will be added to the restaurant's menu at YOLO HOTEL.
