The online pill prescription for foreign residents, 'YOLO PILL ONLINE,' is planned to be launched.

By providing language/monetary support to obtain low-dose pills, we hope to create an easier working environment for foreign women in Japan

YOLO JAPAN Co., Ltd. (Representative director: Taisuke Kaji, Osaka Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka City, hereinafter "YOLO JAPAN"), which operates Japan's largest media platform with a membership of 180,000 foreign residents from 228 countries, in partnership with medical institutions, is pleased to announce the commencement of a new online consultation service "YOLO PILL ONLINE" (hereinafter 'YOLO PILL ONLINE') which will provide the pill (oral contraceptives) for foreign residents from the end of May, 2021.  Appointments and medical questionnaire forms will be supported in 6 languages.  In addition, during online consultations, an English interpreter will be provided free of charge to help make the online consultation flow smoothly.

In a survey of foreign women registered with YOLO JAPAN regarding the pill conducted by YOLO JAPAN, it was found that 70% of them are taking or are interested in taking the pill.  In addition, it was found that out of those who are currently taking the pill, 50% said that they would be interested in purchasing them online.  The reasons provided are the hassle of having to visit a hospital (69%) and the difficulty of having to speak in Japanese (38%).

Due to the great demand for the pill by foreign women in Japan who are working or are going to school, and after hearing the anxiety that these women go through when having to go to a medical institution in Japan, we made it our objective to eliminate language issues and the need to go to hospitals.  In so doing, we hope to provide a safe/comfortable living environment for as many women as we can.

Online appointments and medical questionnaire forms are supported in 6 languages: Japanese, English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and Portuguese. Also, an English interpreter will be present free of charge, so there is no need to worry about your Japanese ability while going through an online consultation.

②Supported payment methods

Payment is accepted by credit card only. You may use Visa, MasterCard, or AMEX. If you do not have a credit card, we recommend using the 'YOLO Card', a prepaid card provided by YOLO JAPAN that comes with a post-payment charge function and is exclusively for foreign residents.

③No waiting time

From making the appointment to the consultation, everything is done online. Since it is an appointment based system, there is no waiting time. Therefore, even those who are busy with work or their studies will be able to receive an online consultation, and the risk of being infected at the hospital is eliminated. In addition, pills will be sent via post to your registered address, so you will be able to receive them even when you're not home.
