We've received passionate messages from the 7 finalists who will be competing in YOLO KARAOKE AWARD on Sunday, January 12, 2025!

Next up, we will introduce the profiles of the two finalists along with their thoughts on the songs they'll be performing and messages to everyone.

Nationality: Philippines
Song: ボルテスVの歌 (Voltes V No Uta) / Mitsuko Horie

・Reason for choosing this song: 
To be honest the first song that I really love since when I was 16 years old was first love.  But I also love this 2nd song that I were able to perform. And the story behind the song I picked was its giving me a lot of good memories during my childhood days . And as I grew up the voltez v teached me  how to be brave and strong in the battlefield of real life.

4. Melissa


Nationality: The Netherlands
Song: メリッサ (Melissa) / Porno Graffitti

・Reason for choosing this song: 
As I began discovering more anime series during middle and high school, a friend recommended Full Metal Alchemist. It is an amazing show, and I really loved the opening and ending songs - and that was before I even found out the song was actually called Melissa. I did not realize how popular the song was in Japan until I traveled here and when I would introduce myself, people would often start singing the first lines! So it kind of became my theme song. 

・Message: 
Thank you so much for coming to see the YOLO KARAOKE AWARD! I hope you have all been singing along. Singing a song we all love even in a completely different language; it is amazing to think about, isn’t it? Let’s enjoy the music and have fun together!
