Thank you for coming to Izumisano City International Cafeteria!

On Friday, December 8, 2023, the International Cafeteria was held in Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture, with about 70 international students participated.

The "International Cafeteria" is a free event hosted by YOLO JAPAN, where non-Japanese living in Japan can have a meal together and interact with each other.

The event began with greetings in 7 languages (English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, Nepali, and Japanese) by the foreign staff of the Izumisano City Foreign Workers Support Center "iFos".

At the event, there was a magic show, an introduction to YOLO JAPAN, and an introduction to jobs at Kansai Airport. The two hours flew by, and all international students who participated seemed to have a great time. The chicken curry and salad were a hit with everyone!

At the YOLO JAPAN booth, many participants were interested in "Japany," which allows users to learn Japanese for free. Day jobs such as free tour monitor were also very popular!

I felt young again for the first time in a long time. I felt like I was back in college. I was so happy because I had never had a chance to talk to non-Japanese people before. It was a wonderful time for me to communicate with people from various countries.

I was really looking forward to this event, as it was my first time participating in something like this since I moved to Izumisano City. I thought it was really amazing to be able to talk to people from various countries in Japanese.
The thing that impressed me the most was when world-famous magician Eugene Minami took a white dove out of a book. I was really surprised. I was also happy to be able to do magic together with him.
It was a really fun night, and I'm glad I participated.

The next International Cafetaria in Izumisano City will be held in March.
